I created the illustrated graphics for The Great Kiwi Bake Off seasons 3 & 4, TVNZ 2021, and 2022. I have personally illustrated over 100 different cakes for the series!
The concept drawings had to look attractive but at the same time clearly show the audience what the bakers were planning to make. The cakes didn’t always end up looking like my sketches, as the contestants sometimes struggled with their recipes! And I had to use plenty of imagination to figure out what the finished items might look like.
